Eastern Christian School welcomes Diane Tolsma as upper elementary and middle school nurse.
Diane received a bachelor’s in nursing from Calvin College.
I grew up in Indianapolis, IN, and am a huge Colts fan because of that. If they are out here playing the Giants or the Jets, there is a very high probability that I will be there. I also love to read, spend time with my nieces and nephews, and go explore new places with my husband and friends. I attend Faith Community Church.
The majority of my career so far was spent in community health, and I loved it. I worked for a small non-profit agency that unfortunately ended up having to close its doors. After our organization shut down, I was extremely unsure where the road ahead was going to lead. I knew that I still wanted to use my nursing to get to know people and serve them the best that I can. When I found out that there would potentially be an opportunity to share a nursing position at Eastern Christian, it felt like God was giving me very clear guidance on what step I should take next. I’m excited to take that step!
I have had many positive interactions with EC staff, students, and alumni over my years in New Jersey. It is an environment in which the students and faculty seem to bring much needed hope and love to those around them. I’m looking forward to joining their team!
